High Arctic Trades Training

As added value to the Tallurutiup Imanga infrastructure projects, QBDC prepared successful funding applications for a High Arctic Trades Training program in collaboration with NCC Development (NCCD), Qikiqtani Industry Ltd. (QIL), QIA, Makigiaqta, and the Kakivak Association.

QBDC is supporting with project management of the program. QIL will deliver the in-class and hands on training while NCCD will coordinate the on-the-job training. The program will provide job placements for up to 60 Inuit trainees in the communities of Arctic Bay, Clyde River, Grise Fiord, Pond Inlet, and Resolute Bay.
